The National Alumnae Association of Spelman College (NAASC) is the official organization that supports Spelman College, a historically black college for women, through financial gifts, student recruitment, sisterhood, community service, and recognition of Spelman women. The Association provides, encourages and promotes growth and development of alumnae through leadership opportunities and partnership alliances. NAASC actively seeks to involve all former students and graduates in the fulfillment of its purpose.

NAASC Baltimore is a network of women in the Baltimore-metro area who share the common experience of having attended Spelman College. The group was formed to support, nurture and assist in the matriculation of current and future Baltimore area Spelman students through funding, outreach and communication.  We also aim to promote womanhood and sisterhood through membership, fellowship and networking.

NAASC Baltimore is committed to the Association goals by:

  • Actively recruiting Spelmanites for participation and support
  • Recruiting gifted high school students for admission to Spelman College
  • Providing funding support to Spelman students from the Baltimore-metro area
  • Representing Spelman College and her virtues in our community through acts of service
  • Enhancing our knowledge of current happenings at Spelman and accomplishments of chapter members
  • Creating opportunities to enjoy the company of our Spelman sisters
